Study Title: EXtracorporeal Shockwave Therapy for mAnagement of ereCtile dYsfunction Study
Research Team:
Alan Shindel, MD, Principal Investigator (PI)
Karina Acevedo, Clinical Research Coordinator
Sponsor: Department of Urology at UCSF
Study Overview
This study is evaluating Low-Intensity Shockwave Therapy (LI-SWT), a treatment that delivers low-intensity energy waves to the penis and has been shown in previous studies to improve erectile function for some men with erectile dysfunction (ED). Researchers will collect information from participants receiving LI-SWT to better understand which patients are most likely to benefit from this treatment and to help guide future care for individuals with ED.
