UCSF was among the top winners of poster presentations at the 2013 American Urological Association conference, with four posters receiving top awards. Researchers display their findings in the visual medium of a poster and also make a short oral presentation about their research at these sessions, which are divided by topic. “It’s a chance to create awareness about new science and get feedback from your peers,” said poster winner Stacey Kenfield, DSc. Typically, a poster presentation is the first step in the path to publication of a research project.
