Maxwell V. Meng, MD Named Assistant Editor Journal of Urology

Maxwell V. Meng, MD, Professor and Chief of Urologic Oncology, UCSF was recently named Assistant Editor of The Journal of Urology, the official journal of the American Urological Association.  In his role as one of the fourteen assistant editors, he will help manage review of bladder, kidney and testis cancer submissions.  He joins Dr. Laurence Baskin who is also an Assistant Editor and member of the Pediatric Urology Editorial Committee.

Dr. Meng adds this responsibility to other editorial roles including being on the editorial board of Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations, BJU International, and Bladder Cancer as well as an Associate Editor of the newly created journal Bladder.

Members of the department have played significant roles in the leading urologic publications.  Dr. Peter Carroll has served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Urology while Dr. Matthew Cooperberg is currently an Associate Editor of European Urology.
