Dr. Natalia Leva joins UCSF Urology Faculty

Dr. Natalia Leva, Pediatric Urologist

Natalia Leva received her undergraduate education from the University of California, Berkeley where she studied English literature and Modern Dance. She earned her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and came to the University of California, San Francisco for her residency in Urologic Surgery and subsequent fellowship in Pediatric Urology. While in her residency program, Dr. Leva returned to Stanford to complete a fellowship in Design, Innovation and Clinical Entrepreneurship.  Her career reflects a dedication to clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship. She joined the faculty at UCSF in 2025. 

Dr. Leva’s clinical interests include all aspects of pediatric urology. She is skilled at both open and minimally invasive surgery. Additionally, she is passionate about improving access to pediatric urologic care, utilizing innovative technologies, and high-value health systems to optimize care delivery and provide patient-centered solutions for her diverse patient population.

Dr. Leva is invested in research that advances the field of urology, with a focus on pediatric and transitional care populations. Her prior studies have included investigations into bladder cancer risk in patients with spina bifida, the feasibility of awake intravesical botulinum toxin injections in pediatric neurogenic bladder, and demographics of transitioning adult congenital urology patients.
