PGY1, urology resident, Daniela Orozco Rendon, MD, will be receiving the 2025-26 ZSFG Krevans Award for her excellent performance during her intern year. She will be recognized and celebrated during the annual ZSFG Medical Staff Meeting, on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026 in Pride Hall.
The Krevans Award is an annual honor presented to first-year residents (PGY-1) at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG). Established in 1979 by the Gladstone Institutes and named after Dr. Julius R. Krevans, former chancellor and dean of the UCSF School of Medicine, the award recognizes interns who demonstrate exceptional clinical competence, professionalism, compassion for patients, and effective collaboration with staff and peers.
Daniela graduated from Geisel SOM at Dartmouth. Prior to graduating, she was the first recipient of the Boston Scientific Medical Student Innovation Fellowship, where she spent a year working on, presenting and publishing various research projects within the field of andrology and fertility. She is also currently the social media coordinator for the Hispanic Urologists Society of North America. Through her role she has had the opportunity to connect and foster community amongst Hispanic urologist across the nation as well as support and mentor medical students of Hispanic background who are interested in the field of urology. She plans to continue to foster her love of research through the various projects occurring within the department of Urology at UCSF. She hopes to continue her love of mentorship through her role within the Hispanic urologist Society of North America as well as volunteering in the various events led by the Urology Interest Group at the UCSF School of Medicine.
