Biography
Dr. Chappidi earned her undergraduate degree with Honors in Neuroscience from Brown University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She completed her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and concurrently obtained an MPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed her urology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she was recognized with the Julius R. Krevans Award for Clinical Excellence and received a Urology Care Foundation Resident Research Grant. Dr. Chappidi then pursued a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Washington, during which she was awarded a Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar Award and an ASCO Conquer Cancer Young Investigator Award for her research endeavors focused on prostate cancer. She joined the UCSF faculty in 2025.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Chappidi’s clinical practice is focused on the comprehensive management of urologic cancers, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular malignancies. She has experience in both open and minimally invasive approaches.
Research Interests
Dr. Chappidi’s research focuses on the development and validation of novel biomarkers to improve risk stratification and personalize treatment strategies for patients with urologic cancers, particularly prostate and bladder cancer. She has contributed extensively to the peer-reviewed literature, presented her work at national and international conferences, and has received multiple awards in recognition of her research.
