Study Overview
- Evaluate the acceptability of a virtual, group-based perioperative peer support intervention, aiming to improve health outcomes for participants seeking gender-affirming vaginoplasty specifically coping self-efficacy compared to participants who receive enhanced usual care.
- Determine if the STRIVE intervention improves the participant’s chances of meeting preoperative criteria for gender-affirming vaginoplasty and other exploratory health outcomes.
- Evaluate the acceptability of the STRIVE intervention among participants, peer support specialists, and healthcare team members

Will need to complete study surveys at baseline, 6 months post-enrollment, and 12 months post-enrollment, and if you have surgery, immediately pre-surgery, 3 months post-surgery, and 6 months post-surgery.
Yes, $135-$255 for completed surveys and additional $100 for optional interview.
