The UCSF Prostate Cancer Support Group meets the second Tuesday of every month from 01:00-3:00 p.m. For the duration of the covid pandemic, the group is meeting with a ZOOM call. It is planned to resume in person meetings as soon as covid is under control.
Patients, wives, partners, family members, friends, and caregivers are all welcome.
- Several members of the group have had prostate cancer for many years, and that combined knowledge is shared to all members.
- Each meeting starts with a short news review about prostate cancer, medical treatments, and dealing with side effects.
- Members are asked to share their issues with the group, where they find mutual support and encouragement.
- Discuss positive ways of coping. Share your emotions in a safe place.
