UCSF KURe scholars, Hillary Copp, Tom Chi, Ben Breyer, Nadia Roan, Shewta Choudhry (not pictured), UCSF KURe program director Laurence Baskin and P20 Program director Marshall Stoller just returned from a three day NIH sponsored meeting in the Nation's Capital.
The UCSF KURe scholars presented their scientific projects (http://urology.ucsf.edu/research/kure) to the NIH program directors and to other K scholars and program directors from around country. Dr. Baskin presented an overview of the UCSF KURe scholars training program for urologic surgeon scientist and focused on “benign urologic research”. The UCSF KURe program was recently refunded for an additional 5 years and is now in its sixth year at UCSF.
Dr. Stoller director of the recently funded NIH P20 study on the “Critical Role of Metals in Calcification and Kidney Stone Formation” presented an overview of this exciting new center study.
