UCSF Benign Urology Faculty

Our expert team of urologic subspecialists, offer comprehensive care and focus on a broad spectrum of non-cancerous conditions that effect the urinary system. Among the conditions treated include urinary stone disease, cystinuria, pelvic organ prolapse, prostate enlargement, traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract, gender-affirming surgery, erectile dysfunction, male fertility, urinary incontinence and voiding dysfunction. Each day through leadership and compassion, these urologists bring excellence to urologic care with breakthrough research and innovative treatments that include minimally invasive procedures like Holmium laser enucleation (HoLEP) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH); robotic and laparoscopic surgery for ureteral reconstruction; advanced robotic surgery for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence; medical management of neurogenic bladder and are the only program in Northern California that provides complete ultrasound-guided, radiation free treatment for complex urinary stones, a safer and more effective approach than x-ray based treatments.
