The first Peter R. Carroll Resident Mentorship Award went to Maxwell V. Meng, MD. The plaque, which carries a Robert Frost quote, “I am not a teacher, but an awakener” will hang in the Department's Parnassus offices alongside the departments pictures of current and past trainees, faculty and chairs.
Says Dr. Carroll, “Max is a tireless and highly motivating mentor whose lessons will improve the lives of our residents and the patients they will care for, now and in the future.”
