It was a hot day around San Francisco's Lake Merced, Saturday, September 19th for the Third Annual Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk. UCSF Urology was well represented among the1500+ attendees. Although we were not the top team with 50 plus members, Team UCSF managed to have 10 members enjoying the fun, in addition to many staff members who decided to show up and support our team. It was great to see our patient support group from Marin, led by Stan Rosenfeld, a survivor of prostate cancer. Everyone who participated in the 5k run/walk finished the race. This was the 1st year UCSF participated in this event. Carolina Berg came in 3rd place for top fundraisers.
“We hope to continue participating in future events to help support the fight for zero prostate cancer,” said Urology Clinic Manager, Reuben Au Yeung. “I believe it is important to build a community of support to our family, friends, patients, and brothers who have prostate cancer. I look forward to working alongside our providers and staff to finding a cure for prostate cancer.
