2018 Northern California Urological Resident Seminar Winners

The 44th annual Northern California Urological Resident Seminar was hosted this year by UCSF at Hilton Garden Inn in Emeryville.  The event, which took place on April 21st, was created to share learning opportunities with other Northern California universities. Presentations are judged and awards are given each year.  This year saw UCSF Urology placing in both basic science and clinical science categories:

Basic Science
2nd Place: Bogdana Schmidt, MD, MPH (UCSF) – The Effect of Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy in an Obesity-Associated Erectile Dysfunction Rat Model

Honorable Mention: Heiko Yang, MD, PhD (UCSF) - A Urinary Microbiome Exists in the Upper Tract of Stone Formers: A Pilot Study

3rd Place – Adam J. Gadzinski, MD, MS (UCSF) - Gallium-68 PSMA-11 PET Detects Lesions in Men with Biochemical Recurrence Following Radical Prostatectomy
