Lindsay Hampson, MD, MAS Wins Short-Term Mentor Award

Lindsay Hampson, MD, MAS, Assistant Professor of Urology was selected to receive the Lindsay Hampson, MD, MAS2018-2019 Short-Term Mentor Award after being nominated by mentee, Michael Sadighian.

Says Mallar Bhattancharya, MD, Director, Inquiry Funding Office and host of the award, “We received many letters of nomination from Summer Explore learners who received outstanding support and guidance from faculty, like yourself. Michael’s nomination of your mentorship exemplifies the UCSF commitment to fostering the pursuit of innovation, leadership, and research.

Sadighian’s nomination letter highlighted his experience: “Dr. Hampson is one of the most outstandingly committed and talented teachers that I have met in my life. She consistently encourages me to pursue opportunities that will help me develop as a professional: she invites me into her operating room, to her clinic, to Urology conferences, and works closely with me on exciting research projects”

Her award will be acknowledged at the 2018 Explore Symposium and Dean’s Prize Awards on December 10.
