The pediatric urology team at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, San Francisco and Oakland recently received word that we are, once again, number one in Northern California and 16th in the country according to U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News provides information on hospitals that see many challenging pediatric urology patients. These hospitals are evaluated on patient outcomes, nurse staffing, services and more.
“A huge shout out to the entire pediatric urology team at both Benioff Children's Hospitals, San Francisco and Oakland,” says Laurence S. Baskin, MD, Professor of Urology and Chief, Pediatric Urology. “It truly takes a dedicated community, ‘the entire pediatric urology family,’ to deliver compassionate and professional care to all of our pediatric urology patients.”
Dr. Baskin also added his thanks to the department’s practice assistants, clinic staff, operating room team, nurses, ancillary staff and colleagues.
Raj S. Pruthi, MD, MHA, FACS, Professor, Department of Urology stated, “This success is a testament to our uncompromising mission to provide compassionate, skillful and innovative care to all patients.”
In a letter to acknowledge this ranking, Dr. Baskin sent thanks to “all of our patients and families for the great honor of taking care of you!” Knowing all of his team are also filled with gratitude, the letter was signed as follows:
