UCSF Press Release: A Ketogenic Diet Could Improve the Response to Pancreatic Cancer TherapyUCSF Press Release by Levi Gadye, "A Ketogenic Diet Could Improve the Response to Pancreatic Cancer Therapy" highlights scientific discovery by UCSF Scientists.
A way to get rid of pancreatic cancer in mice by putting them on a high fat, or ketogenic, diet and giving them cancer therapy. Davide Ruggero, PhD, Goldberg-Benioff Endowed Professor and American Cancer Society Research Professor in the Departments of Urology and Cellular Molecular Pharmacology at UCSF says, "This is the foundation for a new way to treat cancer with diet and personalized therapies."
