Biography
A native of Southern California, Anne Arnhym completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of San Francisco. Prior to joining The Department of Urology in 2005, she spent four years as a clinical nurse at UCSF in the pediatric medical-surgical unit. Arnhym obtained a Master of Science in Nursing at UCSF, and has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at UCSF Pediatric Urology for over 10 years.
She co-authored the Pediatric Urology Provider Program, providing pediatricians and families with education regarding bowel and bladder dysfunction in otherwise healthy children. She has presented this topic at the annual meeting for the Pediatric Urology Nurse Specialists (PUNS) group, of which she is a member.
Research Interests
Arnhym's research involves representing urology in the Management of Myelomyningocele Study (MOMS). She educates potential patients about the urological impact of spina bifida. For enrolled patients she conducts and interprets urological evaluations, and provides urological recommendations. Evaluations are done after birth and at subsequent clinic visits.
