AACR Most-Cited Research Collection Includes Publication From Lab of Raj Dahiya, PhD

UCSF Urology Professor Raj Dahiya, PhD will be honored at the 2017 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual meeting for his inclusion in the Best of the AACR Journals for most-cited research and review articles published in 2015.

The article, “Long Noncoding RNA MALAT1 Promotes Aggressive Renal Cell Carcinoma through Ezh2 and Interacts with miR-205” was published in the April, 2015 AACR Cancer Research journal with first author Hiroshi Hirata, MD, PhD

“The research evolved from VA Merit Review 101BX001123, NIHRO1CA160079, NIHRO1CA130860, NIHRO1CA138642,” says Dr. Dahiya. “During data collection we were excited by the findings that MALAT1 may offer a novel theranostic marker for renal cancer and now we are thrilled to learn it is recognized by so many of our colleagues.”

In addition to Drs. Hirata and Dahiya, authors include: Yuji Hinoda, MD, Varahram Shahryara, MD, Guoren Deng, MD, Koichi Nakajima, MD PhD, Laura Tabatabai, MD, and Nobuhisi Ishii ,MD, PhD.
