serene image of wooded pathThe Bladder Cancer Education and Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month from 5:30-7:00pm at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1600 Divisadero Street, Conference room #H3805 (3rd Floor).

Most evenings feature an expert speaker presenting on various topics of interest to bladder cancer survivors and their loved ones.  Previous topics have included learning about clinical trials for bladder cancer, coping through illness with art and decision-making and diversion options, to name a few.  On several evenings a year, we dedicate the entire session to “meet and greet” so that group members can share their challenges and triumphs and seek wisdom, support and perspective from their peers.

The group is facilitated by a UCSF Cancer Center social worker and is open to all bladder cancer patients and survivors, caregivers and family.  Due to the focus and intimacy of a support group, it is closed to others.

If you would like to be added to the group’s email list to receive monthly announcements regarding upcoming sessions, please email Hazel Dias at [email protected]
