Under the co-leadership of Pamela Munster, MD and Alan Ashworth, PhD, UCSF opens the new Center for BRCA Research.  The center builds on UCSF's commitment to personalized care with a mission to provide a central resource for families with inherited gene mutation like BRCA1 or BRCA2.  The center will be able to analyze the genetic composition of tumors in great detail.  Says leadership, "This is our opportunity to rethink how we treat and manage hereditary cancers."
