UCSF Urology was, once again, ranked as 
one of the very best urology programs in the United States in the 2019-20 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals survey. Its ranking of #3 in the nation makes the program tops not only in California, but best in the western US. The rating is based on a range of factors including reputation with specialists, urology patient volume, patient survival and safety rates, nurse staffing, and use of advanced technologies. Separate pediatric rankings released in June recognized UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals as Northern California’s top program in pediatric urology.
