UCSF winners named in the Northern California Urology Residents Research Competition

UCSF Urology Residents competed in the Northern California Urologic Society 40th Annual Urology Residents Research Competition.

The event was sponsored this year by Stanford University, Department of Urology and took place in Emeryville.  Two UCSF residents won awards for clinical research. 

Clinical Research:

1st Place – Maya Overland, MD, PhD (UCSF) – Predicting MAG3 Renogram Parameters in Pediatric Uteropelvic

Junction Obstruction using Sonographic Quantitation

2nd Place – Meera Chappidi, MD, MPH (UCSF)– A Nationally Representative Study of Non-Index Hospital Readmissions

Following Prostatectomy: Implications for Bundled Payment Models
