Friday, June 9, 2023 marked the Emil A. Tanagho Visiting Professor and Chief Resident Graduation Dinner. The dinner honored the Emil A. Tanagho Visiting Professor, Dr. Cheryl T. Lee, Professor and Chair of Urology, Dorothy M. Davis Chair in Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the UCSF Department of Urology Graduating Residents, Drs. Avi Baskin, Meera Chappidi and Allen Simms.
Following tradition, the residents choose members of the Department of Urology Faculty for the William R. Smart, MD Distinguished Teaching Award and the Peter R. Carroll, MD, MPH Excellence in Mentorship Award.
This year the residents honored Dr. Lindsay Hampson with the William R. Smart, MD Distinguished Teaching Award and they honored Dr. Maxwell Meng with the Peter R. Carroll, MD, MPH Excellence in Mentorship Award.
