Yi Li MD received his undergraduate training at Tufts University. He earned his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine. After graduating in 2015, he started his urology residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his residency in 2021 and his pediatric urology fellowship at UCSF in 2023.
Dr. Li's clinical interests include all aspects of pediatric urology. He has a unique clinical interest in treating pediatric patients with urinary stone disease. He also as a clinical focus in minimally invasive surgical options for pediatric patients who require urologic surgery.
Dr. Li's research interests include looking at testicular development in pediatric patients. He is the recipient of the 2023 Society of Pediatric Urology Research Award for his work. He also has a passion for medical education and training the next generation of academic surgeons.
