The UCSF Department of Urology is pleased to announce the results of this year’s Urology residency match. 

With the February 2015 opening of the UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, many of our urology programs have a new home.

Société Internationale d'Urologie (SIU) held the 34th congress in Glasgow, Scotland in October. SIU@U was developed to expand it's education base and allowed close to 1,000 urologists from over 90 countries instant access to the best scientific content from SIU 2014.

Laurence S. Baskin, MD, Professor and Chief, Pediatric Urology, has been reappointed by Governor Brown to the Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee, (DART) where he has served since 2012.

A new poll that ranks residency training programs, positions UCSF Urology fifth in the nation according to the online physician network Doximity.  For this residency survey, member physicians were queried using US News & World Report’s methodology.

The annual listing of awards achieved by residents appears in the summer issue of the Graduate Medical Education’s (GME) publication, The Residents Report.  Urology received eight awards this year with the bulk being won by Lindsay Hampson, MD and Anobel Odisho, MD both

The 15th Asia-Pacific Prostate Cancer Conference was held this year in Melbourne, Australia.  This event brought together world leaders in prostate cancer to share their knowledge and experience in all facets of management and treatment.
